The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) department at Government Autonomous College, Angul was established with the recognition of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Government of India, to provide advanced knowledge and technical skills in the field of computer applications. The department offers an intake capacity of 95 students per academic year . The department's mission is to equip students with the skills to design, develop, and maintain computer and software systems. With a focus on innovation and problem-solving, the department is dedicated to producing industry-ready professionals who can meet the evolving challenges of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector . The department offers a postgraduate MCA program with a comprehensive curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge and practical exposure.
